New Redesigned T-Series Bottle Cap from Omnifit

Economical Omnifit T-Series Bottle caps are designed with 1/8" Luer Ports. This is a convenient method of making temporary connections, like for a syringe, or inserting 1/8" OD for HPLC supply lines.

By re-designing certain features of solvent bottle caps for easier manufacturing, Omnifit reduced the list price by around 50%, making the caps more cost-effective for our laboratory end-users. Omnifit caps are now not only technically the best on the market, but they are economical too!

Key to the redesign, it is now much easier to push through the 1/8" OD tubing through the Luer ports compared with the old version. It is no longer necessary to cut the tubing to a point and to pull through using pliers or a similar tool. The tubing can now be pushed through easily by hand, even with a blunt end. However, the fit is still tight enough to ensure a leak tight and vapor-proof seal.

Omnifit Tubing Connections Up to 1000 psi - Lower Cost, Higher Performance

• Chemically inert flangeless fitting with permanently attached PTFE ferrule
• Ideal for repeat connect/disconnect Pressure rated up to 1000psi (69 bar)
• For 1⁄16”, 1⁄8” or 3⁄16” OD semi-rigid tubing e.g. PTFE, ETFE, FEP
• For flat-bottom . 1/4”-28 UNF, M6 or 5⁄16”-24 UNF ports'
• Glass-filled fitting nuts "bite" into port
• No tubing twist

The Omni-Lok™Type P fitting system uses a one-piece ferrule which fits permanently onto the outside of semi-rigid tubing. Ferrules have an inner PTFE sealing face ensuring that only PTFE is in the fluid path.

The fitting nut can spin freely, eliminating tubing twist. A recess in the fitting houses the ferrule, allowing maximum thread engagement with the port. This ensures the system stays sealed up to 1000psi (69 bar) pressure, even in shallow PTFE ports. Note: Omni-Lok™Type P for 3⁄16” OD tubing and 5⁄16”-24 UNF flat-bottom ports is pressure rated up to 200 psi (14 bar).

Compact head fitting nuts, in glass-filled polypropylene, are available in a range of different colors for easy line identification. Other options are a longer length nut for applications where accessibility is an issue (1⁄8” OD tubing only) and standard head nuts in PEEK™for higher temperatures.
